Gateway 2014 brings together people from universities across the southern United States to educate themselves on Sanatana Dharma, discuss issues affecting Hindus, and jointly inspire one another to take leadership roles in the Hindu community. In addition to providing a break from daily college life, our retreat at Green Family Camp in Bruceville, Texas is also a means for students to explore their religion/culture with like-minded individuals. Camp attendees will get a chance to engage with personalities and experts from all walks of life, and participate in various discussions and activities throughout the weekend.

The cost of attending Gateway is $80.00 until January 17, 2014. This includes lodging and food for 3 days and 2 nights, guest speakers, and other activities. Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami is a spiritual leader who serves as publisher of the international magazine Hinduism Today and oversees various publications of Himalayan Academy. He is involved with many educational projects locally within Kauai, nationally, and internationally. He oversaw three projects that made digital copies of millions of inscribed palm leaves and was honored in 2011 by the Sivacharyas of India since he helped in preserving thousands of manuscripts that can now be shared with the world.

Sannyasin Sethilnathaswami assists Bodhinatha with editing and publications. He is involved with the monastery’s technological development and works along-side the professional IT consultants. He is in charge of the videos that the monastery develops and is also involved in writing and editing Hinduism Today articles. He works along-side Bodhinatha and helps coordinate with a variety of Hindu college groups around the country.
